Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Maritime, Fishery and Food Tenacity (KPKP) held poultry raid at Jalan Kali Ciliwung, RW 06-08, Pegangsaan Urban Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/10).
142 pigeons and 41 chickens were slaughtered, and 103 cages burned
Hundreds of poultry were raided along Ciliwung riverbank. The cages were directly burned.
Head Section of Husbandry, for Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of KPKP, Hasudungan, said the raid is based on Bylaw No 4/2007 about Poultry Handling.
Disinfectant Sprayed at Poultry Slaughterhouses“142 pigeons and 41 chickens were slaughtered, and 103 cages burned,” he said, Wednesday (8/10).
Meanwhile, Menteng Sub-district, Dedi Arif Darsono added the raid is held to anticipate bird flu spread.
